Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Cheesy Breadsticks
Ingredients
For the Breadsticks
- 1 lb (450 g) pizza dough
- ½ lb (225 g) thinly sliced steak (ribeye or sirloin)
- ½ cup (80 g) sliced onions
- ½ cup (80 g) sliced green bell peppers
- 1 cup (100 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup (50 g) shredded provolone cheese
Garlic Butter
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Optional Garnish
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the steak for 2–3 minutes until browned.
- Add the onions and bell peppers and sauté until softened. Remove from heat.
- Roll the pizza dough into a large rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
- Spread the steak mixture evenly over one half of the dough.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella and provolone cheeses over the filling.
- Fold the other half of the dough over the filling and press the edges firmly to seal.
- Transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
- Using a knife or pizza cutter, score the dough into breadstick portions without cutting completely through.
- Mix the melted butter and garlic powder, then brush generously over the dough.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before separating into breadsticks.
- Garnish with parsley and Parmesan if desired.
Tips
- Add mushrooms for extra cheesesteak flavor.
- Serve with marinara, ranch, or cheese sauce for dipping.
- For extra cheesiness, sprinkle additional mozzarella on top before baking.
- Use freshly grated cheese for the best melt and texture.
