Cheeseburger Pockets
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 package refrigerated biscuit dough or pizza dough
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until the beef is browned and the onion is soft.
- Drain any excess grease.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, and pepper.
- Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Roll out the dough and cut into equal portions.
- Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of each piece.
- Fold the dough over the filling and seal the edges with a fork.
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush with beaten egg if desired.
- Bake for 15β20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Tips
- Add diced pickles for a true cheeseburger flavor.
- Serve with ketchup, mustard, or burger sauce for dipping.
- You can freeze unbaked pockets for a quick meal later.
